Travel and Transfer Information

Ellmau is easily accessible from the nearby airports of Salzburg, Innsbruck or Munich. They are all well served from the UK and Ireland by schedule and charter airlines. After a safe landing at your chosen airport you have the following possibilities to continue your journey.

Bus and Train or Taxi

From Salzburg airport you are 15- 20 minutes away from the "Hauptbahnhof" main railway station. Bus number 2 goes at regular intervals (every 10 mins) for approx €3.00.

A taxi stand can be found directly in front of the airport terminal. Journey time to the main railway station is approx 15-20 minutes. A single journey is approx. €14.

For Ellmau take the train to Kufstein approx €26. www.oebb.at
From Kufstein you may take a 45 min bus journey €5.80 to Ellmau. www.ivb.at

Taxi will take 25 mins from Kufstein - Ellmau approx €33 situated outside train station 24hrs per day.

The public bus F departs every 15 minutes in front of the arrival hall. The trip to the main train and bus station lasts about 10 minutes and costs approx. €2 one way.

Street Train and Train or Taxi

The airport S-Bahn S1 train travels from Munich Airport to Munich Ostbahnhof (East station). At the Osttbahnhof, passengers can transfer to the correct line direction Austria in a few minutes.
